Profile of the expert: Giovanni Borrello
Author, Researcher
“To tell the story of Villa Cambiaso means giving a voice to its spaces, its imperial history and the symbols hidden within its walls.”
Giovanni Borrello is one of the foremost experts on the artistic and symbolic heritage of Villa Cambiaso. A founding member of the Museo Villa Cambiaso Cultural Association, he combines archival research with a keen strategic vision devoted to the enhancement of cultural heritage.
Education and Research
A graduate in Communication and specialised in Economics with a focus on Entrepreneurship for Cultural Heritage and UNESCO heritage, he completed his studies with a thesis in psychology. Always fascinated by artistic languages and traditional currents of thought, he is the author of a degree thesis on the painting by Carlone kept in the Villa’s Chapel, exploring Baroque painting and sacred iconography.
Essays and Esotericism
A scholar of esotericism and author, he has published several writings on symbolism, hidden codes and the Hermetic tradition. He is currently working on a new monograph focused on the history and mysteries of Villa Cambiaso.
Outreach
He personally prepares and delivers the historical and artistic studies, symbolic routes and cultural meetings that guide visitors to discover the most authentic and secret memory of the residence.
